Phoenix Ceramics Limited was established in 1996 by Jo Luping from her home basement in Karori, Wellington. Over the years the business has grown and the need for more space prompted a move to a much larger warehouse studio in Newtown, Wellington. Phoenix tiles are all 100% handmade and handpainted by our small but dedicated team, everyone is hands on - from making, painting, loading kilns or packaging orders ready for dispatch. Phoenix Ceramics sells to over 100 retail outlets throughout New Zealand including Museums, Galleries and Design Stores.
